South Leamington Community Forum Policing Priority Vote - September 2017

Have your say on the policing priorities for the coming months.

The next South Leamington Community Forum takes place on Thursday 28 September 2017 at 5.30 pm for 6.00pm start at The Sydni Centre, Cottage Square, Leamington Spa, CV31 1PT

The theme of this forum meeting is 'Keeping Safe'.

Prior to the forum the online vote is now live and will close on Wednesday 27th September 2017. There will be a further chance to contribute at the forum.

Community priorities options are:-

  • High visibility patrols to target ASB in park areas

There is concern from members of the public in relation to anti-social behaviour 'ASB' in and around Parks in South Leamington. Concerns include youths drinking alcohol, smoking cannabis, littering and congregating in large groups causing a general nuisance

  • Speeding operations in hot spot areas

There is concern from residents as to the danger of motorists driving at excess speed in such areas as Gainsborough Drive and Tachbrook Road.

  • High visibility patrols to combat ASB on High St and Packington Place

Residents have shown concern for individuals congregating in this area and being a general nuisance to both residents and businesses by behaving in an anti social manner.

  • Conduct patrols and events to combat increase in cycle thefts.

Concern regarding the increase of number of thefts of cycles in the area.

  • Patrols to combat cycling on pavements

Residents have raised concerns about persons cycling on pavements particularly on Radford Road area and as such causing a danger to pedestrians.
