This is our latest update and prompt to see if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns for the Alcester Police South Safer Neighbourhood Team. Thank you to those that have contacted us this week.

Incidents of note from the last seven days:-


· *Road Incident. St Faiths Road, Alcester. Report of cars parked on the footpath and junctions opposite the primary schools. Pedestrians being forced to walk into the road. Area to be monitored by The Team. Ongoing problem. Friday 8th September. 0254 08/09/2017

· *Suspicious Circumstances. Fisher Road, Alcester. Three males seen walking down the road, then appeared to try the handle to the front door of a house in Fisher Road before walking off towards Wakefield Way where it is thought they tried another front door. Area searched by police with no trace. No offences disclosed. 4am Wednesday 6th September. 0042 06/09/2017

· *Vehicle Crime - Damage. Beacon Close, Alcester. Brick thrown at car, denting and scratching the bodywork. Loud bang heard at 9.45pm Tuesday 5th September. 0409 05/09/2017

· *Theft. Pharmacy, High Street, Alcester. Male has entered the shop and has put a bottle of Aftershave into his pocket. Then while the staff were busy has reached over and taken a blood pressure monitor from the shelf behind the counter. The male has then tried to return this stolen monitor asking for a refund. The monitor was retrieved  by the staff but the man walked out with the aftershave. Man described as a white male, 40's, brown hair, big build, wearing blue jeans and a grey t-shirt. 10.35am Saturday 2nd September. (reported on the 5th) 0293 05/09/2017

· *Theft. Pharmacy, High Street, Alcester. Male and female enter the shop and the man picks up a bottles of Karl Largerfield Perfume and Aftershave which he puts into his pockets before walking out of the shop without offering payment. The woman stays in the shop for a few seconds more but is confronted by staff. She then also leaves the shop and walks off with the man towards the Church. Man described as a white male, wearing a grey camouflaged body warmer and sunglasses. The woman is described as a white female, hair in a bun, wearing a white jumper. 3.40pm Monday 4th September. 0258 04/09/2017

· *Anti-Social Behaviour. Throckmorton Road, Alcester. Report of a Red Audi hatchback 'racing' around the roads. Details passed to police. 3.20pm Sunday 3rd September. 0246 03/09/2017


· *Theft. Queensway, Bidford. Girls pink and white Probike mountain bike stolen from front garden. Between 8th & 9th September. 0293 09/09/2017

· *Vehicle Crime - Interference. Victoria Road, Bidford. Locks 'popped' open on works van but entry not gained and nothing stolen. Between 7th & 8th September. 0103 08/09/2017

· *Suspicious Circumstances. Grafton Lane, Bidford. White Vauxhall Astra van seen parked on private drive with two people inside. Details passed to police. No offences disclosed. 10.45pm Thursday 7th September. 0439 07/09/2017

· *Anti-Social Behaviour. High Street, Bidford. Between numbers 82 & 102. Group of youths, some on pushbikes hanging around the area. Damage caused in the past to shop windows. Caller concerned this will happen again. 10pm Tuesday 5th September. 0392 05/09/2017

· *Vehicle Crime - Interference. Queensway, Bidford. Offender(s) have gained entry to a Seat Leon by unknown means. They have then searched the interior but nothing stolen. Overnight 30th & 31st August. 0388 04/09/2017


· *Burglary Residential. Kings Lane, Broom. Postman came across house alarm and rear door to property open. On police arrival it was found that offender(s) had forced a rear patio door to gain entry, but nothing had been stolen. Offenders possibly disturbed by the alarm activation. Between 8.30am and 12midday Tuesday 5th September. 0126 05/09/2017

· *Vehicle Crime - Interference. Bidford Road, Broom. Drivers window of car smashed, possibly by a marble found nearby. Nothing stolen from inside. 6.30pm Sunday 3rd September. 0333 03/09/2017


· *Burglary Residential. (Car Key Burglary). Marsh Road, Wilmcote. Offender(s) have gained entry to house through the garage. Once inside they have stolen a handbag and the keys for three vehicles. Subsequently two vehicles from the property were then taken - a VW Golf R and a Mercedes SLC300. Tracking information suggests both vehicles went immediately north into Birmingham. The Golf was later found by West Midlands Police in Edgbaston. Between 8.30pm 9th & 1.30am 10th September. 0031 10/09/2017

· *Suspicious Circumstances. Wilmcote village near to the Social Club. Police patrol spotted person in dark clothing and rucksack near to the club. The person immediately ran off on foot. Area search made but no trace. Premises checked and were in order. No offences disclosed. 4.15am Saturday 9th September. 0073 09/09/2017


· *Burglary Residential (Car Key Burglary). Grafton Lane, Binton. Offender(s) have gained entry to house and have stolen an air rifle and the car keys to a BMW 535. This car was then subsequently stolen from outside the premises. Overnight 2nd & 3rd September. 0169 03/09/2017


· *Vehicle Crime - Theft from. Headland Rise, Welford. Both registration number plates stolen from BMW. Overnight 3rd & 4th September. 0031 04/09/2017


· *Burglary Residential. (Car Key Burglary). The Ridgeway, Stratford. Offender(s) have gained entry to house by smashing the rear patio door window and have stolen the keys to an Audi S3. This car was then subsequently stolen from outside the property. Between 2pm & 3pm Thursday 7th September. Crime No:  23S6/37500K/17

· *Theft. Drayton, Alcester Road, Stratford. £45,000 worth of Solar Panels stolen. Offenders must have used a lorry to take away the property. Between 29th August and 1st September. Crime No:  23S6/37002U/17


Alcester Police South SNT Forum Priorities -  The latest Alcester and Bidford Community Forum Priorities Poll is now live. Please vote for the suggestion that you would like to see set as a priority for the next three months. The top three will be set as priorities by the Alcester Police South SNT. The Poll will close on the 22nd September. The planned forum in September has been cancelled.

· A435 / A46 ALCESTER BYPASS - Patrols to deter speeding offences during weekends.


Temporary Team Change - PC Richard Lambert is now on an attachment for a few months. He has been replaced with PC 1672 Rob Davies. We expect that PC Lambert will return in January 2018.
