Appeal for information following ATM theft in New Arley

Police are appealing for witnesses following an ATM theft at the Co-op on Gun Hill, New Arley.

The incident occurred at 1.31am this morning (Friday 8 September). The offenders gained access to the ATM by setting off a small explosion and made off with a quantity of cash.

Detective Constable Matthew Bird said: "We believe there were three offenders and that they left the scene in a black Audi A3.

"There was a small explosion that people in the local area may have heard and they may have seen something suspicious."
