Family pays tribute to Nuneaton man

The family of a man whose body was discovered in a house in Nuneaton last Monday (28 August) morning has paid tribute to 'a big hearted, larger than life character'.

The body of Don Cocks, aged 65, was discovered at his house on St Mary's Road, Nuneaton. Officers attended after being informed by paramedics.

In a statement, Mr Cocks' family said: "Don was a much loved dad, husband, brother, son and grandad and we are heartbroken to have lost him. Anyone that knew him knew what a big hearted, larger than life character he was. The world has lost a very unique, beloved man."

An initial post mortem of Mr Cocks was inconclusive and more tests will be required.

Police are continuing to investigate the death. A 64-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of murder last Monday has been released under investigation.

Detective Inspector Anna Middleton said: "At this stage we believe the deceased and the arrested woman were known to each other. We're keen to hear from anyone who has information that could help with our enquiries, especially if they heard or saw anything unusual at the property on Sunday and Monday morning prior to the police arriving."
