Kenilworth Horse Fair

Warwickshire Police Special Constables carried out reassurance patrols in Kenilworth on the Friday evening before the start of the Horse Fair, which ran from 29-30 July 2017. They also undertook duties in and around Kenilworth during the two days of the fair itself.

The Kenilworth Horse Fair is held in April, July and September each year on private land at the junction with the A46 Warwick Bypass and the A456 Leamington Road.

Special Sergeant Neil Turfrey said: "Sunday was a very busy day. Special Sergeant Slemensek, Special Constable Ing and myself spent the whole time marshalling the entry/exit traffic at the site and we managed to keep traffic flowing through the day".

The Kenilworth Weekly News reported that no arrests were made over the weekend, 'although there were reports of low-level anti-social behaviour as well as minor criminal damage. A full summary of incidents during the fair is currently being prepared' by Warwickshire Police.
