Have you seen this man?

Warwickshire Police is asking for help from the public in locating a man who officers would like to speak to in connection with an incident reported on November 13, 2016, at an address in the Queen Elizabeth Road area of Nuneaton.

A woman, aged in her 30s, is reported to have been dragged out of bed and outside before being assaulted after three men entered the house at approximately 2.30am. She sustained slight injuries and ran away. A man, also aged in his 30s, is reported to have been assaulted inside the property and left with injuries to his jaw which required hospital treatment.

The offenders are believed to be known to one of the victims.

As part of their enquiries, officers would like to speak to Matthew Ryan Gane, aged 36, who is believed to have connections to the Nuneaton, Bedworth and Coventry areas.

Detective Sergeant Daniel Freeman said: "I would like to reassure the local community that a thorough investigation is underway.

"We would like to speak to Matthew Gane in connection with this as he may have information which could assist our enquiries.

"I would urge anyone who has information regarding his whereabouts to let the police know or to pass this on to Crimestoppers. I would advise people not to approach him."

Matthew is described as approximately 5'8" tall and of medium build, with dark brown hair.

Anyone who has seen him or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 43 of 13 November. Alternatively, if you want to give information but don't want to give your name you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or use their anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers.org.uk

Crimestoppers are not part of the police, when you contact them you won't be identified. The only person who knows you have given information is you.
