This is our latest report and prompt to see if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns for the Alcester Police North Safer Neighbourhood Team. Thank you to those that have contacted us this week.

Incidents of note:-


*       *Damage. Spernal Lane, Great Alne. Damage to fencing / hedging and Hay crop caused by believed poachers trying to access private land. Up to two vehicles have driven on possibly with the intention to target Deer. Overnight 16th & 17th March. 0055 17/03/2017


*       *Suspicious Circumstances. The Grove, Studley. Two tall males in dark clothing seen walking along the road trying car doors. Males eventually walked off towards Crooks Lane. No further offences disclosed. No trace of males on police arrival. 11.50pm Sunday 19th March. 0028 19/03/2017

   *    *Vehicle Crime - Attempt Theft of. Spernal Ash, Studley. Rear passengers window of car smashed and handbrake released etc so it could be towed away. For unknown reason the car was not taken but the tow bar was stolen. Between 15th & 16th March. 0230 16/03/2017

   *    *Vehicle Crime - Theft from. Hardwick Lane, Studley. Hand bag stolen from car. Offenders may have been four males in a Black Vauxhall car. 3.10pm Wednesday 15th March. 0272 15/03/2017

   *    *Burglary Others. Victoria Works, Birmingham Road, Studley. Studio workshops entered. Items stolen and damaged. Overnight 13th & 14th March. 0200 14/03/2017

   *    *Theft. Store, Alcester Road, Studley. Theft of E-Cigarette device by way of shoplifting. It is believed that the offender was male and put the device down his trousers before leaving. 7pm Monday 13th March. 0128 14/03/2017

   *    *Burglary other. Victoria Works, Birmingham Road, Studley. Two units broken into. Details regarding items stolen etc still to be obtained at time of report. Overnight 13th & 14th March. 0045 14/03/2017

   *    *Vehicle Crime - Theft from. Highfield Road, Studley. Hedge cutter and leaf blower stolen from works van. Heavy duty cable cut on rear doors to gain access.  Info from the scene suggest the offenders were in a Green People Carrier type vehicle. The driver being a white female. 4.45pm Monday 13th March. 0306 13/03/2017


*       *Suspicious Circumstances. Pub car park, Henley Road, Mappleborough Green. Three cars and occupants in the par park seen to be exchanging / selling horse tack out of the boots of the car. Details of the vehicles passed to police. No trace of vehicles on police arrival. 2pm Saturday 18th March. 0241 18/03/2017


*       *Vehicle Crime - Theft from. Near to school, Alcester Road, Wootton Wawen. Window of car smashed and items on display taken from inside. Between 5.15pm and 5.35pm Friday 17th March. 0469 17/03/2017.  The items stolen were reported found by a member of the public on a footpath near to Henley Golf Course, near to Bear Lane at 4pm 18th March. **This type of 'smash and grab' theft from vehicles parked near to schools at dropping off and picking up times has previously been an issue right across the area, although this is the first offence this year. We advise that valuables are not left in public view even if it is for a few minutes**

   *    *Poaching. Gorse Lane & Wawensmere Road, Wootton Wawen. Reports of vehicles driving across private land. Gate to field also forced open. Ongoing problem. SNT Monitoring. 10.50pm Thursday 16th March. 0427 16/03/2017

   *    *Theft. Edstone, Wootton Wawen. Approx 20 sheep stolen from field. Reported morning of Thursday 16th March. 0081 16/03/2017


*       *Burglary Dwelling and Other. Oldberrow, Henley. House and outbuildings entered and items stolen including power tools, outdoor oil boiler and tank and stack truck totaling about £3500. Overnight night between 16th & 17th March. 0073 17/03/2017

   *    *Damage. Brook End Close, Henley. Wheel arch of car scratched. Overnight 15th & 16th March. 0070 16/03/2017

   *    *Vehicle Crime - Theft of. Arden Road, Henley. Theft of White Ford Transit works van containing approx £2500 worth of tools. Stolen after 11pm Wednesday 15th March. 0053 16/03/2017

   *    *Robbery. Beaudesert Lane, Henley. Female dog walker approached by male with a knife. Male demanded money and then jewellery. Male ran off towards Castle Close. For further information please see the force website. 5.15pm Tuesday 14th March. 0307 14/03/2017


*       *Vehicle Crime - Theft from. Broad Lane, Tanworth. Both side mirrors of Ford Focus stolen leaving just the wiring hanging. Overnight 16th & 17th March. 0058 17/03/2017

   *    *Suspicious Circumstances. Rushbrook Lane, Tanworth. Persons from a Grey Freelander seen to approach Works Transit Van and try the door handle. The van was locked and the persons left. Reported at 5.15pm Wednesday 15th March. 0332 15/03/2017.  This Grey Freelander has been seen on at least three other thefts from vehicles on the Alcester North and South area.

   *    *Burglary Dwelling. Danzey Green, Tanworth. Several windows in derelict property broken and an old TV stolen. Offenders have used a set of ladders to gain entry through a first floor window. Reported Tuesday 14th March. 0120 14/02/2017
