Witness appeal to armed robbery in Exhall

Officers are investigating an armed robbery in Exhall.

It happened around 3.55pm on Friday (10 March) at Hammond Skip Hire on Colliery Lane.

Four men are reported to have entered the premises and pointed weapons - believed to be machete-style knives - at staff before demanding money.

Two cash tins were pointed out and these are understood to have been taken along with company credit cards, company fuel cards and an amount of cash.

The men are then believed to have got into a charcoal grey BMW 1 series and driven off towards Exhall. None of the staff members suffered injuries but they were left shaken up by the incident.

All four men were described as having hoods or hats covering their heads and scarves or other similar items across their faces.

Officers are keen to speak to people who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time or who witnessed the incident. They would also like anyone who saw a vehicle matching the above description to come forward.
