Kenilworth Community Forum Priorities to be completed by 03-OCT-2016 - completed

Issue

1. Speeding - Dalehouse Lane, Kenilworth (30mph section) - There is concern from members of the public regarding motorists exceeding the 30mph speed limit on Dalehouse Lane, Kenilworth.

2. Speeding - Red Lane, Burton Green - There is concern from members of the public regarding motorists exceeding the 40mph speed limit on Red Lane, Burton Green.

3. Theft and Anti-Social Behaviour - Kenilworth Town Centre - There is concern from members of the public due to incidents including shoplifting, theft and ASB within the town centre.

4. Anti-Social Behaviour - Abbey Fields, Guy Road Park and Common Lane - There is concern from members of the public with regards to potential anti-social behaviour incidents in/around the following locations with the onset of the summer months: Abbey Fields, Guy Road Park and Common Lane, Kenilworth.

Suggestion

1. Speed Enforcement Checks/Monitoring - Dalehouse Lane, Kenilworth (30mph section) - Following concerns from members of the public that vehicles are exceeding the 30mph speed limit on Dalehouse Lane, Kenilworth conduct a minimum of 5 dedicated high-visibility speed enforcement/monitoring patrols at the location.

2. Speed Enforcement Checks/Monitoring - Red Lane, Burton Green - Following concerns from members of the public that vehicles are exceeding the 40mph speed limit on Red Lane, Burton Green conduct a minimum of 5 dedicated high-visibility speed enforcement/monitoring patrols at the location.

3. Theft and Anti-Social Behaviour - Kenilworth Town Centre - Following concerns from members of the public conduct a minimum of 15 dedicated patrols to prevent and detect incidents of theft and anti-social behaviour in Kenilworth town centre and along Warwick Road, Kenilworth. Providing reassurance to members of the public and local businesses.

4. Anti-Social Behaviour - Abbey Fields, Guy Road Park and Common Lane - Following concerns from members of the public conduct a minimum of 15 dedicated high visibility patrols in and around Abbey Fields, Guy Road park and Common Lane, Kenilworth. Providing reassurance to members of the public and to prevent/deal with ASB.

Action

Kenilworth Safer Neighbourhoods Team will provide updates on a regular basis for the duration of these priority tasks.

1. Speeding - Dalehouse Lane, Kenilworth.

  • Between 13-JUN-2016 (priorities set) and 16-JUL-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted two speed enforcement/monitoring patrols on Dalehouse Lane, Kenilworth.
  • Between 17-JUL-2016 and 17-AUG-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted three speed enforcement/monitoring patrols on Dalehouse Lane, Kenilworth. During these patrols Kenilworth SNT warned five motorists regarding their speed. Kenilworth SNT have also been assisted by Camera Enforcement and the Cross Border Enforcement Team 'CBET' at this location. 'CBET' warned three motorists and reported five motorists for exceeding the speed limit.
  • Between 18-AUG-2016 and 17-SEP-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted one speed enforcement/monitoring patrol on Dalehouse Lane, Kenilworth. Warning letters were sent to four motorists with regards to exceeding the 30mph speed limit.
  • Between 18-SEP-2016 and 03-OCT-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted two speed enforcement/monitoring patrols on Dalehouse Lane, Kenilworth. Twelve motorists were reported for exceeding the 30mph speed limit. One motorist was dealt with due to being a disqualified driver with no tax, MOT or insurance.

2. Speeding - Red Lane, Burton Green.

  • Between 13-JUN-2016 (priorities set) and 16-JUL-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted two speed enforcement/monitoring patrols on Red Lane, Burton Green.
  • Between 17-JUL-2016 and 17-AUG-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted two speed enforcement/monitoring patrols on Red Lane, Burton Green. Kenilworth SNT have also been assisted by Camera Enforcement at this location.
  • Between 18-AUG-2016 and 17-SEP-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted zero speed enforcement/monitoring patrols on Red Lane, Burton Green.
  • Between 18-SEP-2016 and 03-OCT-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted one speed enforcement/monitoring patrol on Red Lane, Burton Green.

3. Theft and Anti-Social Behaviour - Kenilworth Town Centre.

  • Between 13-JUN-2016 (priorities set) and 16-JUL-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted nine patrols in and around Kenilworth town centre. Local businesses and members of the public have been continually engaged with. On one occasion five youths were reported to be acting suspiciously, Kenilworth SNT attended and were able to prevent a theft.
  • Between 17-JUL-2016 and 17-AUG-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted twelve patrols in and around Kenilworth town centre. Local businesses and members of the public have been continually engaged with.
  • Between 18-AUG-2016 and 17-SEP-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted eight patrols in and around Kenilworth town centre. Local businesses and members of the public have been continually engaged with.
  • Between 18-SEP-2016 and 03-OCT-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted four patrols in and around Kenilworth town centre. Local businesses and members of the public have been continually engaged with. Two suspicious males were stopped due to acting suspiciously in the town centre. One male was stopped in the town centre and deterred from committing offences. One male was arrested due to shoplifting. 

4. Anti-Social Behaviour - Abbey Fields, Guy Road Park and Common Lane.

  • Between 13-JUN-2016 (priorities set) and 16-JUL-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted ten patrols in and around the above mentioned locations. Kenilworth SNT have worked alongside the Warwick District Council park rangers, continually engaged with members of the public and young persons encountered. Between the above mentioned dates, Warwickshire Police received a report that youth(s) had set fire to a bin in Abbey Fields near to the children's playground.
  • Between 17-JUL-2016 and 17-AUG-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted eight patrols in and around the above mentioned locations. Kenilworth SNT have worked alongside the Warwick District Council park rangers, continually engaged with members of the public and young persons encountered.
  • Between 18-AUG-2016 and 17-SEP-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted seven patrols in and around the above mentioned locations. Kenilworth SNT have worked alongside the Warwick District Council park rangers, continually engaged with members of the public and young persons encountered.
  • Between 18-SEP-2016 and 03-OCT-2016 inclusive Kenilworth SNT conducted three patrols in and around the above mentioned locations. Kenilworth SNT have worked alongside the Warwick District Council park rangers, continually engaged with members of the public and young persons encountered.
