Vehicle Maintenance Volunteer - Greys Mallory

A challenging and rewarding volunteering opportunity has arisen for a Police Support Volunteer to assist the Policing Unit at Greys Mallory, Warwick, to maintain their response Police vehicles.

As the Vehicle Maintenance Volunteer you will have an excellent knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance procedures and be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Ideally, you will have experience in vehicle maintenance or be currently studying the subject and looking to develop your skills. The types of tasks will include:

  • Checking and replenishment of criminal investigation equipment and documentation within vehicles.
  • Cleaning and inspection of the exterior and interior of vehicles, noting damage and defects.
  • Checking the oil and water levels, the tyre pressures and treads and the light functions of the vehicles.  Rectifying or reporting any defects are required.

N.B. All applicants are subject to a full vetting process. We seek a commitment of a minimum 2-4 hours per week for a minimum of 12 months. The minimum age for applicants is 17yrs, no upper age limit applies.
