Stratford is the largest policing district in the county. It is mainly rural, encompassing the towns and villages of Stratford-upon- Avon, Shipston, Wellesbourne, Southam, Alcester, Henley in Arden, Bidford and Studley.
One of the district’s key challenges is managing the seasonal population surge that tourists bring to Stratford each year.
The district is a low crime area, yet the fear of crime persists. We are working closely with our partners, the community and local media to ensure this perception is challenged and changed. Officers on cycles are more visible and approachable - and have already made their first arrest.
Among the many current investments in district policing, Alcester Police Station is being refurbished.
