Investing in the future Rugby is a distinctive policing area, sharing borders with Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and the West Midlands. The M1, M6 and M69 run past and Coventry Airport is only a few miles away. The district covers busy urban areas and remote rural villages, each having unique crime and social patterns.
In a £1.5 million investment, Rugby town police station is being transformed to meet the challenges and opportunities of the next 20 or 30 years.
It will have open plan offices and conference and community rooms where officers, partners, volunteers and members of the public will meet and plan their work together.
The station will be within a new Justice Centre, combined with the Magistrates’ Court and Probation Office, with facilities for Victim Support. This keeps policing services right at the heart of the district.
