HOW TO GET HELP

Warwickshire Police
If you are in urgent need of assistance call the police by dialling 999. If you have information relating to a crime or criminal activity please contact Warwickshire Police on 01926 415000.

Local Community Beat Officer (CBO)
Community issues relating to drugs and drug related antisocial behaviour can be passed to the police through your local CBO.

Local Environmental Health Department
If you find syringes or other drug paraphernalia you can arrange for its safe disposal by contacting your local Environmental Health Department. The number is in the phone book under the name of your District Council or via their website.

Crimestoppers
Set up in 1988, the Crimestoppers Trust is the only UK charity aimed at putting criminals behind bars through an anonymous Freephone number: 0800 555 111. Callers with information on crime are not asked their name. This anonymity is the key to the scheme's success, because it provides callers with complete safety from any reprisals.

Talk to Frank
The Talk to Frank site provides information and advice to anyone in the UK concerned about drugs. This includes drug users, their families, friends and people who work with them. The service is confidential.

DARE
A registered charity providing life-skills education to young people to enable them to deal with issues relating to drugs and violence. The web site also includes separate areas for children and parents.

DATs
Warwickshire Drug Action Teams (DATs) are local multi-agency co-ordinating groups set up under the UK Government's strategy for England, Tackling Drugs Together. Web site includes information, advice and links to other services within Warwickshire.

ADFAM
ADFAM's overall objective is to increase awareness and help alleviate problems faced by families experiencing difficulties with drugs and alcohol. It hosts an interactive web site, produces research and provides a range of publications.

CASCADE
Trains and supports local young people to become peer educators about alcohol and drugs. Although these educators work mainly in Solihull's secondary schools, youth clubs, colleges and hostels, CASCADE also provides training across the UK and overseas.
