What is VIP?

• VIP is a new support service for victims and witnesses in Warwickshire
• It brings together professionals from a wide variety of organisations – including key criminal justice agencies – in one location
• They work in partnership to provide a premium service to victims and witnesses from all communities
• Based in Leamington Spa, VIP is a ground-breaking service and is one of only a few promoting new approaches to victims and witnesses.

How does VIP work?

If you are a victim or a witness of a crime we will contact you once someone is charged with that crime.

We agree with you what level of support and information you need – our service is tailored to each individual.

To help you understand the processes involved we can:

• explain and guide you through each stage as the case progresses
• arrange a visit to a courtroom prior to the trial
• show you a ‘virtual walkthrough’ of the criminal justice system on the Web.

Sensitive cases will receive specialist attention.

You can also report anti-social behaviour at VIP and our dedicated coordinator will guide and support you.

Our service is completely free and you can visit us without an appointment.
