Drink

Alcohol affects your ability to drive safely by:

  • Slowing your reactions
  • Reducing your field of vision
  • Making it harder to judge speed and distance.

How much you can drink and stay under the drink drive limit depends on a range of factors. The only safe option is not to drink if you are going to drive. And remember that you may still be over the limit the morning after.

In 2005 the Police conducted 607,000 breath tests in the UK and more than 100,000 people were caught drink or drug driving.
