In Warwickshire you are 8x more likely to be killed and 1.5x more likely to be seriously injured in a road crash than as a victim of crime (Results 2003 - 2006). Recent National research has indicated that Speeding is viewed by the public as being the number 1 anti-social behaviour (Professor Steve Stradling). It is therefore no surprise that our communities fear harm through traffic dangers. Roads policing is interwoven with almost every facet of community safety and Warwickshire Police take this vital aspect of community policing very seriously.

Warwickshire Police are working in partnership with the relevant agencies to reduce the number and severity of road crashes which happen on our roads. Our enforcement and other casualty reduction activity is intelligence led and targeted to where problems have been identified. We are participating in the delivery of training and advice to the next generation of drivers and riders to make them better, more considerate and more aware road users. We are working with the various highway authorities which manage the Warwickshire road network to help them provide successful and sustainable road safety, traffic management and speed management interventions.
