Visible Results campaign launched in Warwick District
Monday May 17, 2010 sees the launch of a twelve-week campaign to promote the visible results achieved by Warwickshire Police, in areas such as vehicle crime and anti-social behaviour.
With more crimes solved and fewer crimes committed, we’re working with partners and local communities to make life better for the people of Warwickshire.
For example, last year there were 284 fewer victims of serious violence in Warwick District *
Other achievements in Warwick District (2009/10) include:
Warwick District Commander, Neil Harrison said: “By working together with local partners, police in Warwick District have successfully reduced victims of serious violence, aggravated burglary and robbery. Incidents of criminal damage and vehicle crime also fell last year.
“We hope that these reductions reassure the public that we take their concerns seriously and remain committed to protecting people and communities from harm. We also aim to improve public confidence further, by communicating and celebrating our successes."
One of the ways we communicate at a local level is through our Safer Neighbourhoods Teams, which operate in every neighbourhood across Warwick District.
SNTs tackle crime, anti-social behaviour and other local issues that impact upon the quality of people’s lives.
