M45 MURDER - CAN YOU HELP?

Murder Enquiry M45 – Can you identify the victim? or Did you use the M45 on December 30?

The body of a severely burnt man was found at the side of the M45 in Warwickshire on Tuesday, December 30, 2008.

The man had sustained substantial injuries to his head and had been killed prior to his body being deposited at the side of the M45, where it was set on fire at approximately 1.10pm.

Detectives investigating the murder of a man whose body was found on the M45 in Warwickshire last week have today (6 January 2009) released new images to try to find out who he was.

Two artist's impressions have been produced and distributed through national and international agencies as the investigation moves further afield.

The man's ethnicity is still not known.

During the Post Mortem examination of the man a Computerised Topography (CT) image (seen below) was taken of his face. In a bid to identify the victim police have released this and are urging everyone to look and see if they may be able to identify who he is.

The CT image shows the man’s face and profile but is not able to show skin tone or colour or facial hair. The man's ethnicity remains unknown but the CT image does show he had a distinctively shaped nose and slightly protruding front teeth. He is also believed to have had extended sideburns or a full beard, which was dark but greying. He is believed to have had longish wispy hair and was between 5ft 2inches and 5ft 6inches tall. The victim is thought to be aged between 45 years and 75 years old.
