PCSO – Police Community Support Officer
Do you want to give something back to the community? Do you have what it takes to become a Police Community Support Officer?
PCSO’s are the eyes and ears of Warwickshire Police. They provide a reassuring presence to communities and they support Police Officers in dealing with various incidents, helping to reduce crime and the fear of crime.
The role of a PCSO is a paid, usually full-time, position that could lead to a long career within the Police. Although PCSO’s do not have the same powers as Police Officers, they are a critical part of Warwickshire’s Police Force.
The ideal candidate will have great interpersonal skills, the desire to protect people in Warwickshire from harm, and the ability to build vital links within communities.
The role is predominantly carried out on foot so a PCSO needs to have a high degree of stamina and physical fitness and be happy to work independently on their own for the majority of the time.
PCSO’s will be required to work shifts between the hours of 08.00 and 22.00 Hrs including weekends
