BECOME AN OFFICER

Warwickshire Police is currently CLOSED for recruitment of Student officers and will NOT be accepting application forms OR transferred applications for Student Officers.

It is anticipated that WE WILL NOT be opening our doors for further recruitment before the end of 2012. Please check the website nearer the time for current information.

You'll be surprised at the huge range of career opportunities we can offer - they're as diverse as the county we serve. And with no two days ever the same, the role of an officer with Warwickshire Police is exciting, varied and challenging. Join us and make the most of your ambitions.

Warwickshire Police is the country's second smallest force, but it's got big ideas and needs committed, ambitious people to help fulfil its vision. The force is leading the way in areas such as criminal justice partnerships that will change the way in which offenders are brought to justice and help to drive crime levels down even further.

Being a small force means that officers can gain a wide range of experience in a relatively short time, and gives each one the chance to really make a difference to the local community.

You don't need any formal educational qualifications to become a police officer, although you'll have to pass a range of tests and selection procedures.

As a police recruit you'll qualify for a highly attractive pay package and an excellent pension. The 32 week initial training is all done in house at our Learning & Development centre, by our experienced team of trainers and assessors.

As well as police officers and volunteer special constables, policing is supported by a large number of civilian staff, whose roles range from press officers and administrators to fingerprint experts and analysts.

From time to time Warwickshire Police also considers transfer applications from serving officers – Currently however we are NOT accepting transfer applications from serving officers.

Warwickshire Police is committed to being an equal opportunities employer.
