Warwickshire Police needs a diverse and multi-skilled workforce in order to operate effectively. The range of careers within the police force are split into two key categories.

  • The first category is the police officer, ranging from the Community Beat Officer and general duties officers through to specialist posts such as Dog Handlers, Firearms Officers and Detective Constables.
  • The second category is police staff. The range of roles within the police staff is also extensive and varied. These roles range from non- operational posts such as administration and finance through to operational support roles such as communications officers or scenes of crime officers.

The pages in this section outline how to apply for employment either as a police officer or a member of the police staff within Warwickshire Police. There are also details about how to apply to become a member of the special constabulary and the role that the special constabulary plays within Warwickshire Police.
