Chief Superintendent Richard Sear joined Warwickshire Police in 1980 and is currently Deputy Director, Performance and Standards. In this role Richard is responsible for Corporate Development, Business Improvement, Performance Management and Planning. Richard additionally has line management responsibility for the Professional Standards Department.
Richard has broad policing experience having served at various stations throughout the county. Richard has served as a Detective in all ranks and has undertaken the Senior Investigating Officer role on a number of enquires. On promotion to Chief Superintendent, Richard was appointed as Detective Chief Superintendent, Head of Crime. Subsequent to this Richard was appointed Southern Area BCU Commander. Richard has also worked on secondment within Her Majesties Inspectorate of Constabulary .
Chief Superintendent Sear holds an MSc degree in Police Leadership and is married with three children.
