To have completed the PNC Names (Enquiry) course Delegates must have a good knowledge of the Wanted Missing section of the PNC names application

This course is usually restricted to Communications Staff.This is not a FULL update course for PNCB who need a specific course for their needs.

Aim
To enable the student to update the Wanted Missing element of the Names Application

Objectives
By the end of the session the student will be able to:

  • Explain the responsibilities of forces in relation to the updating of Wanted Missing reports
  • Demonstrate how to add a Variety of Wanted Missing Reports to a PNC Names record
  • Establish the difference between adding a WM report to a new persons record and an existing persons record
  • Identify the relevant pages to be able to retrieve the weed date and case papers of Wanted Missing Reports
  • Explain the effects of adding a Detained report to PNC Name record
