Aim
To enable personnel to search the NFLMS in order to establish the current status of a registered firearms certificate holder, interpret the information correctly.

Objectives
By the end of the session the student will be able to:

  • Use various techniques to search and explain the results displayed
  • Identify persons who are registered firearms certificate holders
  • Identify the differences between a live record and those which are cancelled, revoked or expired
  • Demonstrate how to view the various sections of a record including medical history, security and counter signatories.
  • Explain the categories of information linked to a persons record.
