Aim
To instruct officers in the tactics and weapons used by the FSU as set down in the National Police Firearms training Curriculum

Objectives
By the end of the session the student will be able to:

  • Shoot the GLOCK SLP/ MP5 /TASER /AEP launcher and G36 Rifle to the required standard
  • Carry out tactics as set down in the NPFTC to the required standard
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the procedural and legislative issues around police use of firearms
  • Meet the standards as set out in the national ARV officer role profile
