Aim
To develop the essential attitudes required of an advanced driver.

Objectives
At the end of the course students should have the ability to:

• Recognize the need to give priority to public safety
• recognize the need to place safety above the desire to apprehend a suspectq give priority, at all times, to safety over the desire to attend an incident
• control at all times, while driving, the competitive urge during journeys concentrate solely on safe driving
• recognise fatigue and personal stress levels which may affect judgement and respond accordingly
• recognise that adrenaline may impair judgement.
