Aim
To develop the knowledge ,understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviour with regard to Diversity Issues in line both within and outside of the Police organisation.

Objectives
By the end of the course the students will be able to.

  • Identify how the class have different values and attitudes.
  • List how attitudes and values have changed over the past 50 years.
  • Identify how personal values and attitudes are formed and can change.
  • Recognise the power group within this country.
  • Demonstrate how words can be used to reinforce stereotypes.
  • Evaluate their feelings with regard to minority groups through exposure using a partnership approach. (Community contributor).
  • Identify discrimination and the causes of discrimination.
  • State options when confronted with issues of Fairness and Diversity in the workplace.
  • Experience being a minority in a structured scenario.
  • Identify how behaviour must conform to the standards set by Warwickshire Police.
