Warwickshire Against Crime

GRANTS

Grants of up to £5,000 are available to local communities in Warwickshire to help them prevent crime or promote public safety.

Applications are invited from all sections of the community where the initiative will:

  • reduce crime or promote public safety;
  • benefit people and communities in Warwickshire;
  • be for a charitable purpose (although the group/organisation does not need to be a registered charity);
  • help local communities to identify and tackle local problems;
  • be for something communities wish to set up to help themselves;
  • be open to all members of the community;
  • challenge a specific issue.

Applications will not be considered if:

  • the funding is for the benefit of one person or a small group of individuals;
  • the grant will be re-distributed to other bodies or for purposes other than that specified in the application;
  • there is evidence of political bias;
  • an employee or officer of Warwickshire Police will benefit directly;
  • the grant will fund a campaign of any description;
  • the grant will replace spending cuts made by local or central government;
  • work has already taken place;
  • it is a general appeal or circular.

The Trustees meet in March, June, September and December to consider grant applications.
