Warwickshire Police

The NETWORK was initially set up in 2006 as a support group for disabled staff within Warwickshire Police.

Our focus is to remove the barriers and push forward in promoting equality for both current and newly appointed members of staff who have a disability.

We aim to:

1. Offer support to any disabled member of staff if requested
2. Encourage disabled staff to declare their disbility in order to raise awareness and offer support if required
3. Ensure disabled staff within Warwickshire are not discriminated against
4. Advise and assist in the development of Policy within the organisation (Equality Impact Assessment)

The group is supported by volunteers and as yet is small in number.

In order to carry out these functions efficiently we need the help of Warwickshire staff in raising awareness of disability issues.
