Information about Rugby IAG
The Rugby IAG was formed in December 2006. It has 11 members representing the multi-cultural make-up of the town, as well as some members who have disabilities. The group have decided to focus their attention on a particular topic at each monthly meeting, discussing Force policy, public perception and increasing the members' knowledge around the individual subject. To date we they looked in-depth at Domestic Abuse and Anti-social behaviour involving motor vehicles. They plan to examine policies and procedures around Gypsies and Travellers in the near future.
There is also a schedule of guest speakers arranged to generate further discussion and debate.
The group have become so interested and involved in the policing of Rugby District, that they have increased the number of meetings in order to allow sufficient time to examine the subjects in as great a detail as possible. The Rugby IAG are going from strength to strength.
