LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER INDEPENDENT ADVISORY GROUP (LGBT IAG)

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Advisory Group (LGBT IAG) is a voluntary group of independent LGBT advisors to Warwickshire Police. We advise on and monitor police issues that affect our community across Warwickshire.

Our members come from all walks of life. We believe that all the different voices in the LGBT community should be heard.

Who are the LGBT IAG?

We are a group of volunteers who expressed concern or asked questions regarding policing policy towards the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. We are not here to represent, but advise from our own experiences as individual members of the community.

What is the LGBT Advisory Group?

We are a voluntary group of independent LGBT advisors working with Warwickshire Police. We advise on and monitor police issues that affect LGBT people who live in, work in, study in or are visiting Warwickshire.

How were members of the group chosen?

Anyone from the LGBT community can join the group, as long as they wish to fully participate in working with Warwickshire Police.

How is the group funded?

We have a budget from Warwickshire Police which covers the expenses of members on Advisory Group business. It also enables our members to attend meetings.

What does the Group actually do?

Since early 2005, we have seen the role and influence of the LGBT IAG develop and grow.
